|Other Details:||The history of Sutter Home Winery dates back to the late 1800's, when a Swiss-German immigrant named John Thomann established a small winery and distillery in the heart of California's Napa Valley.
Although much has changed for the Trincheros and Sutter Home, the motto and philosophy originated by their father more than a half-century ago remains the same: "A great product for a fair price."
The Trinchero family purchased the winery in 1947 and has pioneered many industry innovations over the past half century.

Sutter Home is 60 miles northeast of San Francisco on Highway 29 in the heart of Napa Valley. From the city, take either the Bay Bridge to Highway 80 East, connecting to Highway 37 and Highway 29 North, or the Golden Gate Bridge to Highway 101 North to Highway 37 East to Highway 121 East and Highway 29 North. Sutter Home is 17 miles north of the town of Napa on the west side of Highway 29, one mile south of the town of St. Helena.
The Visitors Center, housed in the original winery building, is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for complimentary and reserve tasting, sale of wine-related merchandise, and self-guided tours of the White Zinfandel Garden.
