| Other Details: | Leeward Winery was founded by Chuck Brigham and Chuck Gardner in 1979. In 1982, the winery moved into its current facility in Ventura, taking great care to design a winery that facilitates proper wine production and aging procedures. One unique feature is a temperature controlled barrel fermentation room ideally suited to Chardonnay production. The barrel fermentation and aging of wine take place in French Oak. The production techniques, when combined with the highest quality grapes available, create Leeward's own distinct style. |
